In the ABL Syndications role, the primary role of this position, the candidate will lead Truist’s asset based lending syndications efforts for the Commercial Community Bank (“CCB”) – the commercial / middle market. Working closely with ABL originators and coverage bankers, this position will be responsible for helping pitch, win and distribute syndicated deals in the CCB market.

In the ABL Originations role, the candidate will have additional coverage responsibilities to originate and distribute asset based lending transactions for the Corporate and Investment Bank (“CIB”). The candidate will collaborate with internal partners including CIB coverage bankers, Risk, Structuring, Portfolio Management, Operations, and Legal to drive new business and achieve seamless execution, appropriate risk mitigation and strong client experience.

Description

  • Lead the syndication efforts for left lead CCB clients

  • Grow market share for Truist in the CCB market

  • Drive revenue through targeted clients/prospects in coordination with CIB banking, for a set group of industry verticals

  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise; translate knowledge into strategic dialogue and value added ideas which result in lead roles

  • Collaborate with internal partners, including risk, to achieve optimal client outcomes

  • Mentor and develop junior teammates

  • Communicate complex or difficult ideas clearly, concisely and persuasively Demonstrate the Truist values

  • Adhere to risk/compliance policies and guidelines

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree

  • Licenses: Series 79 or 63

  • 10+ years of related work experience

  • Extensive subject matter expertise including advanced understanding of industry drivers, product positioning, structuring and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Proven ability to develop, nurture and monetize "trusted advisor" client relationships

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across functional areas to resolve complex issues.

  • Strong interpersonal skills which foster teamwork, trust,creativity/innovationand accountability

  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and insightfully.

Preferred Requirements

  • Lead-left transaction experience, particularly in the commercial and middle market

  • Prior track record of pitching and winning new business
