The Credit Portfolio Servicing Specialists provide ongoing support of the Wealth credit origination and underwriting process by analyzing and summarizing client and transaction information, populating nCino/AFS systems and submitting finalized credit memos for approval.

The team supports the loan closing process by gathering documentation required for closing, coordinating loan closings with the closing team and ensuring the proper booking of all facilities on the loan system.

The team is responsible for accurate and timely setup of all client credit files, ongoing updates and annual credit file certifications. The team also manages the tracking of reporting requirements and financial covenants as required by legal documentation by monitoring and clearing all ticklers for Wealth clients, providing reporting to Portfolio Managers and mitigating potential risk by early escalation of past dues.

The team identifies new and recurring risks related to the origination, closing, booking and funding and ongoing management of Wealth credit products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time

  • Establishes and maintains paper and electronic credit files in line with policy recommended standards including annual certification of each file.

  • Manages tracking and timely receipt of required client reporting.

  • Takes the lead to coordinate client transfers between portfolios and completes transfer worksheets

  • Provides administrative support to Portfolio Management teams on risk reviews, internal and external audits

  • Communicates and elevates past due reporting and other portfolio monitoring requirements to PM team, including but not limited to GPM.

  • Provides Tickler and Annual Review reporting on a regular and ad hoc basis

  • Coordinates with client team, wealth lending and / or commercial fulfillment for original documents to be sent to imaging or to record retention, as needed

  • Submits covenant tickler and financial statement spreading requests to ACS and manages rush requests through Salesforce

  • Coordinates with Commercial Fulfillment and Loan Servicing teams to resolve post-close servicing issues, as needed

  • Engage with Wealth teammates to improve credit quality of portfolio including payment delinquencies, data quality errors, covenant ticklers, Credit Policy Exceptions, Loan Documentation Exceptions, and other key credit process metrics to ensure ratios remain within established portfolio monitoring benchmarks

  • Acts as an expert and mentor to less senior Origination Specialists in the Group.

  • Contribute to Special Projects as assigned by Manager or GPMs

  • Actively identify and elevate system enhancement and process improvement ideas

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3-5 years of work related experience with at least 1 year in a Loan Specialist role or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in nCino/RMS and other bank systems utilized in the credit file creation/maintenance process and tickler setup and management process.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products

  • Highly motivated individual with effective verbal and written communication skills and great attention to detail

  • Excellent client service, communication, time management and organizational skills

  • In depth knowledge of Commercial Loan Documentation and Interpretation
