This will be a remote position.

Support and facilitate risk and control identification, mitigation and remediation for the Retail and Small Business Bank including, but not limited to, Risk and Control Self-Assessment programs, Issues Management program, Internal/External Loss Event programs, Business and Technology Continuity Management program, Enterprise Change Risk Management program, and Risk Appetite Framework. Accountable for ensuring RSBB processes adhere to applicable policies, processes, procedures and any applicable federal and state regulations. Ensures detailed and concise reporting on assigned Enterprise Risk Management and Operational Risk Management programs to be shared and escalated with BURM Senior Leaders.

Partner with BURM Leadership in the aggregation, escalation and presentation of risk reportingrelated to data governancefor Retail Community BankRetail and Small Business Banking,including the coordination and support for Risk Committees, Risk working groups, regulatory updates and other special assessments and reporting as directed by Business Unit Risk Manager. Provide Support for a robust, high-quality data issues management oversight program and Policy and procedure quality control process in adherence with enterprise standards. Performs comprehensive and risk-based monitoring and remediation for assigned business unit(s) as delegated including all tasks involved in the execution of the monitoring and remediation (e.g. scoping, report writing, vetting findings, documenting systems and work paper documentation) to ensure Truist’s processes and procedures are compliant and pose low and/or acceptable material inherent or residue risk. Coordinating mitigation or remediation activities where appropriate. Document theRetail and Small Business Bankingdatagovernance and program execution program including methodologies, processes and procedures, report writing, conventions for consistently vetting and documenting findings and working papers. Understand the strategic plan, key objectives and risk appetite statement to effectively monitor key indicators.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years working in first line or second line risk with experience with risk and control execution programs

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education and related training

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of management

  • Strong knowledge and leadership skills and the ability to own projects and drive process change

  • Ability to manage implementation of risk program requirements over multiple LOBs

  • Independent thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to make decisions

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience MBA or advanced degree

  • 3+ years of Risk experience

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent advanced risk certifications

  • Operational and regulatory knowledge of financial institutions; retail banking preferred.

  • Strong analytical, time management and critical thinking skills
