The Digital Payments Product Analyst works on the Product Management team to analyze, design requirements, and support Truist's Enterprise Payments Hub platform. The Digital Payments Product Analyst must have experience with technology online/mobile payment product implementations, Agile release schedules, and on-going support. Detailed understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC- both waterfall and agile) is also required. This analyst partners with product management to position the organization to transform to meet the challenges of the technology and digital payments world. The work will also support existing products by researching product issues and required fixes. This position is a highly visible role within the organization and works closely with the product, PSO and technology Delivery teams as well as business units Operations teams. Analyst may work on payments to Truist products, TCH Real-Time Payment, ACH, wire, and/or Zelle and across the retail and wholesale bank.

  • Define future product requirements by researching existing client needs, subject matter expert knowledge, competitive products, industry trends, and industry standards. Lead research and analysis on assigned projects to translate business and market requirements into functional requirements.

  • Create product documentation for new product features and enhancements. Work with Product Manager to translate functional documentation into product technicalspecifications.

  • Support business validations for the product release; Maintain current product support documentation; Develop system testing plans and conduct testing with system enhancements, user application, and quality assurance testing.

  • Support Truist’s Digital Transformation initiatives/projects and activities that determine and prioritize strategic digital investments.

  • Monitor digital trends across one or more digital properties for progress against KPIs, performance SLAs, and extract insights for future enhancements in close partnership with product leaders.

  • Monitor and track product findings and work with product and support teams for issue remediation.

  • Support the development of digital roadmaps that reflect client needs/gaps and teammate needs/gaps, as well as foundational technology capabilities and other digital enablers.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in business, engineering, design, or technology field; or related field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience

  • One or more years of banking, financial services, digital, or other relevant work experience

  • Strategic thinker, maintain the ability to quickly assess complex problems, prioritize key issues, and focus on relevant technology and business facts

  • Comfortable managing concurrent projects in a fast-based, results-driven environment

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, leading work autonomously, and making independent decisions

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

  • Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Solid understanding of trends in technology and in the financial services industry

  • Ability to learn and translate technically complex concepts into business friendly terminology

  • Considerable tact, diplomacy and people skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products, to analyze and communicate complex information to business leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills

  • Experience in Digital Payments (e.g., RTP, Zelle, ACH, wire, bill payments)

  • Ability to take ownership of an issue and drive it to resolution through research and probing on how application should work

  • Ability to influence teammates who are not in your area

  • Drive to become a Subject Matter Expert in payments space
