The position is responsible for achieving asset quality objectives, underwriting standards via credit and loan originations, internal sales and marketing, profit objectives, volume and growth goals for the center. This is the initial line in ensuring we manage Risk per Truist expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. Responsible for making quality credit decisions in fast paced environment.

  2. Comply with all stated guidelines, policies and procedures as well as all State and Federal rules and regulations.

  3. Perform internal and external sales and marketing to present our Value Promise to effectively develop profitable Dealer Client Relationships.

  4. Assist Loan Processing teammates to ensure efficient and compliant funding procedures.

  5. Visit assigned Dealer Clients independently or jointly with Relationship Manager to develop stronger relationships to enhance volume.

  6. Review all early payment defaults and document findings. In addition, follow-up with dealership personnel on any fraudulent items (e.g. straw purchases, missing options).

  7. Provide a high level of customer service to customers and clients in support of our Perfect Client Experience (PCE) initiatives.

  8. Maintain application approval rates at an acceptable level as set by corporate standard.

  9. Other Critical Tasks and Duties assigned, including, but not limited to documentation of marketing activities in client relationship management.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training or experience.

  2. Three years of industry related experience

  3. Good problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  4. Interpersonal skills to build dealer and customer relations

  5. Excellent communication skills to be able to relate to dealership and office personnel

  6. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  7. Ability to work independently during periods of limited supervision

  8. Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and evenings

  9. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

  10. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Proficient at calculating numerous formulas and ratios

  2. Knowledge of all facets of automotive industry

  3. Marketing skills

  4. Working knowledge of operational systems (Salesforce, Origenate, etc.)

  5. Bilingual
