Truist is seeking an Informatica Software Engineer to support the build and expansion of Truist Adobe Experience Platform and Sales Lead System programs.

The Informatica Software Engineer must know how to investigate and analyze issues, as well as research opportunities for improvement of processes. Provide expert system and technical advice and guidance to developers. Enable the use of data quality and accuracy as a strategic enabler.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A passion for solving problems and providing workable solutions.

  • Lead the design/development of Informatica workflow processes and data mapping.

  • Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.

  • Monitor and analyze all production issues and inquiries and provide development solutions ensuring optimal ETL.

  • Create and review operational procedures in the form of Operations manual for all ETL workflow.

  • Develop processes and procedures for profiling data prior to transformation.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase.

  • Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across functional team.

  • Improving system quality by identifying problems and familiar patterns and developing standard operating procedures.

  • Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and designing and implementing systems.

  • Maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review code changes.

  • Providing written knowledge transfer material.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and four to seven years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience

  • In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices

  • Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function

  • Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices

  • Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Agile methodology working knowledge

  • Prefer 5+ years of DB2, Oracle or SQL Server experience

  • Prefer 5+ years of Informatica and Data Warehouse experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related fields

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically

  • Outstanding cross-team collaboration skills
