The Truist Securities ESG Advisory and Intra Industry Coverage Investment Banking group is seeking an Analyst to join their team.

The ESG Advisory and Intra Industry Coverage Investment Banking group advises companies across sectors on the development of sustainability-focused strategic and financing alternatives to support successful transition to a low carbon economy and achieving social and inclusion goals. This includes evaluating company specific environmental, social and governance factors and goals, investor focus on sustainability and sustainable finance alternatives. Additionally, the team provides strategic advice to companies with sustainable technologies and services, including: renewable energy technologies, alternate fuels, energy storage, advanced mobility and electrification and agtech.

Job Description:

This role involves client pitching and idea generation, supporting the structuring of client solutions, transaction execution and preparing presentations on relevant market themes and developments.

  • ​Analyst will play a central role in preparing client pitchbook presentations, modelling and analysis, deal execution including providing credit underwriting support, drafting information memoranda, developing management and investor presentations

  • Performs assigned duties with some independence, including but not limited to, due diligence, document processing, financial modeling, statistical analysis, research, and presentation development

  • Works closely with merger and acquisition, other sector coverage and capital markets team members, including senior CIB professionals, to support client pitching and transaction execution

  • Stay informed of emerging and evolving client, industry and ESG themes

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

  • Experience in corporate finance and familiarity reading company financial statements

  • Consistent attention to detail

  • A strong team player, solid leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment successfully handling multiple tasks

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other quantitative field

  • 1 year of related work experience since graduation from an undergraduate program

  • VBA / Python proficiency would be viewed positively

  • Industry or sector knowledge from energy, TMT, or industrials
