Truist Securities is actively seeking an Associate to join the Private Institutional Capital Group.
This Associate will be responsible for assisting in client relationship management and investment banking services including strategic advisory services to private equity clients primarily with >$2BN funds related to buyside and sellside M&A, debt and equity capital raising. The banking professional supports senior bankers who are expected, over time, to generate a balanced mix of M&A, debt and equity capital raising working closely with partners across the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). The Associate will also serve as the group’s staffer to manage the Analyst team workflow and work product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Plays an integral role in supporting new business development, due diligence, and/or transaction execution. Participate in and attend new business or client meetings when appropriate and travel to client/prospect locations.
Under limited supervision, performs tasks assigned and managed by senior staff, including drafting internal and external documents and marketing materials, modeling, due diligence, executing transactions, as well as working with clients, attorneys, and/or other senior professionals on a day-to-day basis.
Responsible for tracking interactions with prospects and clients and managing a database which summarizes this information. Assist senior bankers in communications both internally and externally, produce client summary materials, and provide quality control of Analyst or Intern produced work.
Direct, supervise, coach, and mentor Analysts or Interns.
Build cross-functional relationships within CIB across coverage, product partners and credit delivery.

Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
Strong knowledge of investment banking, private equity, and debt capital markets
Mastery of financial and accounting concepts to facilitate the creation or review of in-depth financial models involved in transactions
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Advanced skills in written and oral communications, and interpersonal relationship management
Solid analytical and sales skills
MBA degree, with a Finance focus
4+ years of related work experience, including experience in finance, investment banking, private equity, or strategy consulting
