The Release Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the Enterprise Release Management and Enterprise Change Management process on behalf of the Experience Orchestration Portfolio, which consists of twenty two scrum teams. The Release Manager will ensure that Release Assessments and Requests for Changes are approved on a timely basis to support the Major and Monthly Releases that all teams will be participating to deploy/release software into the Production environment. The Release Manage will also serve as a primary point of contact and liaison between the scrum teams and our Change Management and Release Management partners.

Essential Job Duties:

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. Manage the Enterprise Change Management RFC approval process across all Agile Release Trains and Scrum Teams

  2. Manage the Enterprise Release Management process to obtain release assessment approvals across all ARTs and Teams

  3. Coordinate the Production Implementation Planning activities which include;

o Documenting Implementation Plans and Detailed Implementation Task Lists

o Supporting Implementation Events as the liaison between the scrum teams and our Release Management partners

o Supporting Business & Technical Validation activities during Production Implementations

o Responsible for Release Communications and Release Status Reporting

  1. Maintaining a Release Calendar for all Agile Release Trains and Scrum Teams

  2. Responsible for continuously improving the Change Management and Release Management process

  3. Coordinating the completion of scrum team deliverables associated with the Technology Delivery Lifecycle, which includes required signoffs

  4. Responsible for managing a Release Scrum team responsible for

Required Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or GED or equivalent education and related training or experience

  2. Prior experience in a Scrum Master role

  3. Five+ years of professional experience, for example: at least two+ years in a delivery role (developer, tester, architect, BA, business owner, etc.)

  4. Two+ years of experience working on or with Agile teams

  5. Communicate effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. College Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related field of study

  2. Experience in the banking industry
