Please review the following job description:

To directly manage and oversee the commercial real estate appraisal and third-party vendor function with regard to administration, compliance and review of third party vendors including Appraisal, Engineering, Environmental, and Green reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Directly manage, engage and administer all third-party reports including appraisals, engineering, environmental and green for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and when needed, FHA.

  • Create and maintain active qualification files for appraisers, engineers, and environment vendors.

  • Responsible for third-party vendor relationships.

  • Qualify new third-party vendors.

  • Review all third-party appraisal reports for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for compliance with the lender’s requirements and discuss findings with underwriting or Asset Management, when applicable.

  • Review commercial appraisals for compliance with the federally mandated Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).

  • Review third-party reports for compliance with the engagement letter.

  • Attend real estate industry trade functions, representing Grandbridge Real Estate Capital.

  • Act as an internal resource, advising corporate and loan production staff as to current trends in commercial real estate.

  • Maintain Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) designation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training

  • Ten years of experience in the commercial real estate field or equivalent

  • MAI designation awarded by the Appraisal Institute

  • Certified General Real Estate Appraiser

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work with industry standard commercial real estate analysis programs, such as Argus

  • Understanding of all physical aspects of all commercial property types, typical real estate lending parameters, interest rate structures and test of reasonableness

  • Ability to organize, direct and supervise others

  • High attention to detail

  • Ability to work harmoniously with internal/external associates/customers

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration or Master’s degree in Finance or Real Estate from a college or university
