Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. Support highly complex and critical systems with significant system linkages, dependencies, associated risk. Lead and perform production support efforts on critical financial crimes technology applications for fraud and AML. Oversee and lead implementation, maintenance, and support of Truist's most complex solutions. Production Support responsibilities include application monitoring, end of life remediation, vulnerability patching, problem management, incident trend analysis, root cause analysis, vendor management, tech debt remediation, disaster recovery test planning, performance tuning and optimizing current state processes and application performance. Ensure adherence to company and industry standards. Provides technical consultation on extremely challenging or unusual situations. Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Interpret internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices. Use sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. Mentor less experienced teammates to build technical SME expertise. Does not have management responsibilities. This position serves as the technical expert on the team for Wire and ACH Fraud and for OFAC screening on Wires and ACH and is often the strongest engineer, answering and solving the most complex, unusual issues, but does not have the skills nor the interest in management. Responsible for leading P1 and P2 incident triage for resolution and root cause. Maintaining high quality working software and automating manual/reusable tasks working directly, and consulting with, the business . Leverage continuous engineering practices to deliver business value regarding effectiveness of the design. Actively participate in refining user stories. Supporting integration and buildout of new functionality. Responsible for providing support and maintaining ownership of application runbooks and playbooks. Required Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Bachelor's Degree and 6-10 years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practice Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in banking or financial services domain. Deep knowledge and prior experience in Wire & ACH fraud applications and Wire & ACH OFAC Screening applications. Working experience on Actimize Case management and monitoring tools. Strong working experience and understanding on Oracle & SQL DB’s, Windows and AIX operating systems. Hands on experience with incident management tools like Service Now. Familiarity with Unix and MQ. Past experience with dynatrace or app dynamics. Experience with batch scheduler tools like CA7 or ESP. Strong communication and presentation skills and experience with presenting large enterprise audiences.
