Please review the following job description:

​Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

Maintain and work within all appropriate controls to assure compliance with all Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

Properly code invoices/expense reports/check requests to the general ledger.

Ensure invoices, expense reports, and check requests have proper approvals and proper documentation.

Ensure invoices/check requests are paid by due date (if applicable).

Review accuracy of sales tax charged by the vendor and calculate and accrue for additional tax if needed.

Ensure the timely, proper and accurate reporting of insurance accounting transactions in a manner consistent with GAAP accounting principles.

Assist with system conversions of acquired businesses and other special projects as requested.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, and leadership within the Corporation as well as appropriate individuals external to the Corporation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • Three or more years of accounting/vendor payable experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a vendor payable environment.
