The Opportunity:

The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a comprehensive, structured, rotational training program that includes LDP core curriculum and multiple Line of Business track options to provide future leaders of Truist with a strong foundation in the financial services industry.

This broad based rotational program incorporates education, exposure and experience in a robust curriculum. Teammates will focus on Truist Acumen, Leadership Skills, Financial Services Acumen, Innovation & Technology, Risk Governance and Assurance, and Professional Skills. Training will include exposure to Truist senior leaders and sessions with members of Executive Leadership.

The program interweaves the three dimensions of development throughout the program.

• Education: Training and learning in large groups, small group/peer interaction, and self-study components.

• Exposure: Opportunity to interact with all Executive Leaders throughout the program, as well as exposure to other senior leaders, lines of business, industry specialists, training experts, and other Truist teammates.

• Experience: Business rotations to provide an opportunity for meaningful learning experiences with business impact.

What to Expect:

The LDP – Credit Tracks is an 11-month program with three credit track options, including the Commercial Community Bank (CCB), Treasury Solutions (TS) and Wealth Lending. In addition to the core curriculum, the CCB track focuses on further core principles of commercial banking, credit acumen, and business development. TS track focuses on a broader understanding of TS support and sales areas. Wealth Lending focuses on portfolio management/underwriting in wealth. Individuals hired into the program will relocate to Charlotte, NC for the duration of training with several rotations and track specific curriculum throughout the Truist footprint. Training could be a hybrid approach to learning and may include remote and in person learning.

Credit tracks:

  1. TheCommercial Community Bank (CCB)track provides broad understanding of financial services and a deeper dive into the understanding of core principles of Commercial Banking. CCB specific training focuses on financial & credit analysis, commercial lending, credit risk management and business development. Rotations may include any area in the Commercial Community Bank, examples are Industry & Advisory, Community Bank Regions and Commercial Credit Delivery. At the conclusion of the program, teammates may be placed in an opportunity in any area of the Commercial Community Bank based on current opportunities.

  2. TheTreasury Solutions (TS)track provides a broad understanding of Treasury Solutions. Rotations may include any area of TS, examples are Sales Teams, Sales Enablement, Operations, etc. At the conclusion of the program, teammates will transition into roles throughout TS based on current opportunities.

  3. TheWealth Lendingtrack provides a broad understanding of Wealth Lending and Wealth underwriting. Rotations may include any area of Wealth Lending and exposure to other areas of Wealth. At the conclusion of the program, teammates will transition into roles in Wealth Lending Portfolio Management.

All tracks have elements of intense classroom and on-the-job training (rotations). After successful completion of the training program, teammates are prepared for positions with excellent opportunities for advancement. Truist has one LDP in Charlotte, NC each year beginning in July.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1.Learn a wide range of concepts, programs, and services designed to prepare for an assignment in any of the enterprise’s business lines.

2.Learn and demonstrate a proficiency in the following skill areas: Truist Acumen, Leadership Skills, Financial Services Acumen, Innovation & Technology, Risk Governance and Assurance, and Professional Skills.

3.Perform special projects or assignments outside of the formalized training program, as may be assigned.Embrace and model Truist Purpose, Mission and Values.

4.Complete any additional training as recommended by the manager, either during or after the program.

5.Participate in business rotations, working on projects and other business-as-usual activities that allows for the practical application of concepts and behaviors referenced in training and demonstrate results in line with rotational leads’ expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree required (business-related concentrations preferred)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong initiative

  • Demonstrated leadership through on campus involvement and/or work experience

  • Enthusiasm for a career in financial services

  • General knowledge of the financial services industry

  • Willingness to travel for on-the-job training (rotations)

  • Ability to relocate to Charlotte, NC for the program and locations throughout the Truist footprint upon program completion

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Three or more credit hours of Accounting

  2. Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher
