The Truist Insurance Holdings Internship provides college students with an 8 to 10-week experience where one can gain exposure to various fields in the insurance space. During this internship, interns will explore the insurance industry as well as the Truist Insurance Holdings organization as a whole and the unique way each specific entity contributes to the overall success of the organization. Interns will gain general insurance and business insight, experience the Truist culture, and play a meaningful role in supporting the organization’s goals. Interns will also continue to develop leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
Each Intern will:
Learn about insurance through prescribed training, the industry workflow, and various divisions within the organization as assigned during the internship
Gain analytical, technical, and decision making skills through formal and informal learning opportunities
Complete special projects or assignments that assist the marketing, talent, or vender management departments in their mission and help the intern learn more about the corporate environment
Network with senior leaders, experienced teammates, and other interns to develop lasting professional connections
Receive formal and informal feedback throughout the program
Required Skills and Competencies:

Working towards the completion of an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Insurance and/or Risk Management, Business, Marketing, Economics, Human Resources, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, other business, analytical, computer science, or data related field, any relevant degree, or advanced degree at an accredited college or university
Demonstrated strong academic performance and experience working on a variety of projects
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Preferred Qualifications:
Interest in pursuing a career in the insurance industry
Previous work experience or internship
Demonstrated flexibility in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Demonstrated leadership aptitude
Intermediate Excel knowledge (Formulas, PivotTables, Etc.)
