Please review the following job description:

Responsible for developing and managing the on-site execution of an onboarding event to maximize the profitability of the Firm's investment in a newly-recruited Wealth Advisor or Wealth Advisor team. Also develop and train Wealth Advisor Onboarding and Transition Specialists to assist newly-recruited Wealth Advisors or teams.


Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. Develop, implement, and own Wealth Advisor onboarding lifecycle including recruiting, onboarding, and integration of new Advisors or teams into Wealth while working directly with Wealth Regional Managing Director, incoming Wealth Advisors, and Client Service teams to support the growth of our business.

  2. Serve as the Project Manager during the onboarding event and assume responsibility for all troubleshooting and action items. This may include working with other firms as well as other lines of business within Truist Wealth.

  3. Act as a subject matter expert and provide strategic guidance on required documents and processes to onboard client relationships to the Truist Wealth platform.

  4. Own the end to end onboarding of new Wealth Advisors and clients, including operational aspects of transitioning the business to include coordinating the activities of key individuals within the organization.

  5. Coordinate with Truist Wealth Advisor leadership, Brokerage leadership, and Service leadership to ensure all aspects of Wealth Advisor transitions are completed efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with published processes and procedures.

  6. Develop and maintain all operational processes relating to the onboarding program via the WA Onboarding checklist. Establish training materials that will assist the Wealth Advisors and Client Service Specialists during and after transition.

  7. Ensure that all activities surrounding that onboarding event support established industry protocols and minimize the risk of potential litigation from the Wealth Advisor's prior firm.

  8. Manage and develop WA Onboarding and Transition Specialists along with any additional home office staff that may be deployed to support the onsite event.

  9. Partner with the local Wealth teams to oversee the execution of required onboarding processes, including supervising and directing Wealth Support Specialists to ensure timely and accurate task completion

  10. Track the progress of asset acquisition, client documentation and adjust strategies as needed throughout the transition.

  11. Provide onsite support during transitions (1-7 weeks at a time, including nights and weekends).


Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education and related training

  2. Five years of wealth management or financial services industry experience. Strong understanding of wealth products, services, operations and systems

  3. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational skills

  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills

  5. Must be able to prioritize tasks, reprioritize tasks and work well under intense pressure

  6. Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office Products

  7. Ability to do extensive travel, 1-7 weeks at a time, including weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Previous account onboarding experience in the Private Banking client segment

  2. Seven years of experience in the financial services industry

  3. Completion of an establish management or career development program such as the bank’s Leadership Development Program or similar program
