We are hiring an Application Support Engineer to build and grow the Insurance Technology Support Services at Truist to assist with the design, coding, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation of new or modified software applications that meet business requirements and enterprise performance and architecture standards.
HYBRID role: 3 days in office/ 2 days at home
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Create technical designs and implement in-house and/or vendor solutions into less complex environments.
Provide application support (Hands on) including complex problem research, analysis, resolution, and on-call support.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of solutions and participants in various phases of the development life cycle.
Analyze basic information and make decisions within guidelines to solve problems and gain practical skills.
Participate in the maintenance, and support of highly complex solutions in adherence to company standards, including robust unit testing and support for subsequent release testing.
Analyze, debug, and fix batch job failures. Communicate job restart instructions to the Technology Command Center (TCC).
Provide ServiceNow problem tickets, with detailed analysis to the delivery team to have them apply code fixes as necessary. Track and monitor ServiceNow Tickets
Work on multiple highly visible, business critical Application support and initiatives simultaneously.
Perform production releases for new features and bug fixes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED Knowledge of programming software applications with up to four years of experience
Foundational knowledge of business concepts and terms
Effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing basic information about technical designs and system requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and two to four years of work experience in IT Knowledge of specific applications, systems, or business segments Banking or financial services experience
Solid knowledge of relational database design and development (i.e. SQL)
Solid knowledge of relational database design and development (SQL, stored procedures, data modeling)
Proven ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests
Work on multiple highly visible, business critical Application support and initiatives simultaneously.
Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience using web servers, application containers, caching technologies
Knowledge and/or experience in software development technologies – C# .NET, MVC, Angular, API Management, SSIS, SSRS, WPF, WCF services.
Microsoft Azure Certification is a plus
Strong knowledge of MS Office productivity tools.
Proven ability to conduct research into software issues and products as required
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
