Responsible for developing and maintaining the technical IT/cyber security capabilities necessary for safeguarding the firm's information systems and applications (software development lifecycle), including every phase of the SDLC and software stack. Assist in the designing, planning, testing and implementation phases of cybersecurity technology projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior business leaders to understand business strategy and work in cross-functional teams to drive successful strategic outcomes.

  • Lead analysis of business and user needs, requirements documentation, performance measurement, and the interpretation of results for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Lead analysis effort to gather, formulate, define, and design solutions to complex organization security controls.

  • Coordinate meetings between data engineers and user experience developers to ensure final deliverable matches client expectations visually as well as with respect to documented requirements.

  • Measure client interactions in order to improve client experience, digital adoption, and process outcomes.

  • Manage approval processes for requirements, POCs, wireframes, and enhancements.

  • Apply subject-matter expertise, industry knowledge, and technical understanding to recommend actions to business leaders.

  • Ongoing analysis of metrics in Production to uphold metric and data integrity

  • Ongoing analysis of in Production metrics to identify root cause of risk metrics that breach risk appetite thresholds

  • Lead the operational development of sustainable data solutions that increase efficiency, reduce risk and/or create competitive strategic advantage for Truist. Leverage technical and business expertise to provide analysis, validation, and interpretation of insights for Corporate Cyber Security.

  • Manage client intake requirements, ensure end user interfaces are functioning as expected and issues are triaged to appropriate data intelligence teammates.

  • Take a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems and exercise judgment based on the analysis (e.g. modeling, testing, etc.) of multiple sources of information.

  • Provide analysis and resolution in a timely manner and explain and interpret complex, difficult, or sensitive information.

  • Participate in the analysis of information to determine, recommend, and plan the use of new technologies, or modifications to existing equipment and systems that will provide capability for proposed project or work load, efficient operation and effective use of allotted resources

  • Lead small cybersecurity projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in systems engineering or administration or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • In-depth knowledge in applied enterprise information security technologies including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, network operating systems, identity management, database activity monitoring, encryption, content filtering, and Mainframe security

  • Previous experience in planning and managing IT projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Statistics a plus

  • Banking, Financial Services and/or Cybersecurity experience

  • Understanding and/or use of financial systems of record (ServiceNow, Archer, Tanium, CrowdStrike, Salesforce, Workday, Venafi, Splunk, OIM, etc.)

  • Proficiency in SQL, Agile software tools, Visualization software, and Microsoft Office software products including SharePoint
