As a Cryptographic Services Consultant, you will work closely with security architecture and engineering teams as an SME and trusted advisor on all matters related to cryptography, such as data-at-rest and data-in-transit encryption, enterprise key management and tokenization. Work closely with business partners to understand their use cases, educate and provide guidance on data protection methods, technologies and processes. You will play a leading role in the evaluation, successful delivery and establishment of new technologies and processes use to protect sensitive information assets across the entire enterprise. Mentor and lead teammates in the area of Cryptography, from a governance, business and technical perspective.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide consultative support related to encryption, cryptographic technologies, and data protection methods.
Creates reports, documents and action plans in support of the Cryptographic Services organization.
Provide subject matter expertise on projects, requests and initiatives related to Cryptographic technologies (e.g., data-at-rest encryption, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), data tokenization, etc.)
Provide expert guidance and opinion on standards and best practices related to Cryptography.
Research, recommend, document and deliver clear, thorough artifacts that support the growth and maturity of the Cryptographic Services organization.
Collaborate with business units and technical teams to deliver the appropriate data protection solution to remove or reduce risk to sensitive assets.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
A firm understanding of NIST standards and guidelines related to cryptography (e.g., SP 800-57, SP 800-175B, SP 800-32, SP 800-131A, etc.)
Must have experience with enterprise key management and cloud key management (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.) in large organizations.
Experience with at least one data at rest encryption solutions from a major data protection platform vendor.
Experience with data tokenization techniques, associated processes and operations.
Experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) management and operations.
Familiarity with public key infrastructure (PKI) and cryptographic protocols (e.g., SSL / TLS)
Experience with Regular Expression, Java Script, JSON or XML.
Ability to create and maintain system documentation for encryption, tokenization, key management and other cryptographic related processes.
-5 or more years' experience in a cryptographic related discipline.
-Hands-on experience with enterprise key management and cloud key management (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.) in large organizations.
-Strong understanding of data-at-rest and data-in-transit encryption implementation methods, including database, application tokenization, and masking, TLS and SSH.
-In depth knowledge of encryption use cases and hands-on experience establishing an enterprise encryption infrastructure with at least one of the leading encryption products or platforms.
-Familiarity with popular databases on both Windows and Linux including Oracle and MS SQL.
-Familiarity with IBM z/OS encryption and key management technologies and process.
-Preferred experience with Quantum Preparedness and Crypto Agility.
-Experience in the Financial or Banking industry.
-B.A. or B.S. degree in a related area (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology) or equivalent work experience.
-Strong written and oral communication skills including an ability to explain complex concepts to others.
