Please review the following job description:

Identify and grow Truist Mortgage branded presence, impact, and results in high opportunity focused segments and markets. Specific areas of focus include minority, low to moderate income, and emerging market segments. Will be responsible for developing strategies and tactics to achieve fair lending, CRA LMI, and growth objectives. Responsibilities include strategic planning, thought leadership, recruiting, coaching and development of teammates to maximize effectiveness and market opportunity to meet goals and objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for leading Origination’s Community & Affordable Lending organization and achieving objectives through effective leadership and execution.

  2. Develop, communicate, and execute strategic initiatives and growth plans for originations within the context of Truist Mortgage strategies, policies, systems, and processes while leveraging Truist Marketing initiatives.

  3. Ensure the Community & Affordable Lending team executes sales leadership and business development models, a defined and organized productive sales week, including leadership visibility and engagement in regions and markets. A focus on recruiting, retaining, coaching and developing effective and profitable sales teams.

  4. Collaborate and develop strong partnerships with the mortgage senior leadership team, key stakeholders across lines of business to include the Retail & Small Business Bank, the bank’s CRA and fair lending teams, and with Non-Profits and Trade Associations to maximize mortgage opportunities.

  5. Collaborate with Mortgage Strategic Growth, Originations Execution and Enablement, and Capital Markets on product and pricing strategies and initiatives to grow market share and increase focused segment production.

  6. For markets and focused segments, within span of control, continuously impact Client Service Quality by leading the team’s adoption of digital tools and managing the mortgage processes to drive favorable client satisfaction scores and behaviors.

  7. In conjunction with Originations leadership team, Strategic Growth, CRA, and Fair Lending teams lead community and affordable lending efforts.

  8. Support achievement of Truist Mortgage and Originations goals by understanding and effectively communicating Mortgage Lending strategy, policies and procedures to clients, teammates, and internal and external referral sources.

  9. Ensure adherence to Mortgage Lending policies and procedures, including government regulations,

secondary market requirements, acceptable compliance and quality control performance, and adherence to Digital Advertising and Marketing requirements.

  1. Knowledge of local and national real estate market conditions, mortgage product and process trends, competitive position and market opportunity. Provide feedback and solutions, as needed or requested, regarding mortgage lending delivery capabilities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education and related experience

  2. Typically 12+ years of experience in the mortgage industry and/orfinancial services field

  3. 5+ years of managerial experience

  4. Strong understanding of mortgage lending and product lines; effective management of internal and

external relationships and partnerships

  1. Proven ability to manage production sales leaders and loan officers, address fulfillment productivity with operations teammates, and maintain internal and external referral sources

  2. Proven ability to recruit and retain productive and engaged teammates

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree
