The Senior Agile Coach is an expert in lean/Agile practices and one or more knowledge domains (i.e. technical, business, transformation) while having developed skill in facilitation, mentoring, training, and professional coaching. The Enterprise Agile Coach’s purview is the Agile strategy of a division or multiple portfolios within a division.

Integrate business solutions for complex operational problems through application of a broad understanding of how the organization operates and deep knowledge and experience in the application of Agile principles. Experienced subject matter expert in facilitation, mentoring, training, and professional coaching. Ensure team Agile coaches are consistent and improving in their knowledge and application of Agile principles. Responsible for ensuring Truist Agile SDLC, Agile Operating Framework and Risk Framework are appropriately followed. Conduct Agile Team, Program (ART), and Portfolio Maturity Assessments, create Coaching Plans to increase Agile Maturity of Teams, Programs (ARTs), and Portfolios Active participant with the Truist Agile Guild and Agile Coaches Communities of Practice. Solve and coach to highly technical, complex problems. Consult for other initiatives. Provide informal leadership to others and serves as a resource on complex solutions. Executive facing role with high responsibility and accountability to ensure that Agile CoE Standards and Best practices.


Required Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or GEDor equivalent education and related training or experience

  2. Eight+ years professional experience in delivering key initiatives

  3. Five+ years in a delivery role, whether Waterfall or Agile (Scrum Master, Project Manager, Technology Lead, Business Lead, Product Owner, Solution Architect, etc.)

  4. Five years’ experience as an Agile coach in a broad range of Agile coaching roles (offshore/onshore, technical/non-technical, coaching two+ teams at a time), including three years at a portfolio or program level in SAFe

  5. Proven experience in the use of scaling methods such as SAFe, LESS, or industry equivalents

  6. Three years of Agile training experience

  7. Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, SAFe and DevOps

  8. SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) with Leading SAFe, SAFe for Teams, SAFe for PO/PM and SAFe for Scrum Master Training Enablements

Prior DevOps experience (experience with automation, CI/CD, familiarity with tool stacks, etc.)

Experience in the banking or financial services / FinTech industry

CSM (Certified Scrum Master) Certification
