The Landscape: Traditional financial services are being increasingly challenged by non-traditional entities with niche products and services or a combination of standard and niche products.
The Opportunity: You will join a committed and dedicated team of professionals and provide thought leadership through ideation, design, build and support in creating a data platform to take on the challenges of the expanding landscape. You will also provide technology leadership to the existing systems that need to be enhanced based on financial needs of the customers while Truist is catapulting itself to be a significant player in the ‘Future of Financial Services and Banking’. Breadth of responsibility includes bringing discipline and efficiency to program/project financials, demonstrating a keen business acumen for requirements and day-to-day management of teammates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Create enthusiasm within the team to innovate and transform to create the data platform of the future
Have the ability to be hands on through the ideation and POC phases to show working artifacts and (not solely PowerPoints)
Provide a 50,000 foot view to a 5 foot view based on the audience varying from business partners, Senior Executives, interfacing systems and technical teams
Assimilate business requirements and determine the most efficient solution
Hyper focus on true end to end use cases and design solutions that are nimble and responsive in servicing the data consumers within and outside the bank
Streamline estimation process and plan for an optimum employee-contractor mix
Monitor team progress relative to established goals, objectives and priorities for business as usual and enhancements of the current platform
Manages performance and provides coaching as needed. Ensures that projects are delivered according to Enterprise Technology policies and procedures
Aligns appropriate support teams to ensure performance by demanding a strict performance-based measurement process for teammates
Organizes, plans, and manages projects. Partners with other technology teams and the business on the execution of delivery projects from conception through implementation. Makes judgments about priorities and the team's approach to work based on an understanding of how the team contributes to the achievement of broader objectives
Adapts plans to meet service and/or operational challenges. Identifies and resolves technical, operational, risk management, and organizational challenges

Bachelor Degree and six years of experience managing complex IT projects or equivalent education and related training or experience
Demonstrated experience in project management/delivery teams
Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve products, processes, or services
Knowledge of technology structures that incorporate variable staffing evolving platforms, cost and value arbitrage value propositions. Knowledge of business process reengineering and operations
Broad view of how industry and technology changes impact technology and client experience through digital channels. Strong business acumen and domain expertise in the assigned portfolio. Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure
Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities. Ability to influence and negotiate to enable agreement on scope, cost, and schedules
Ability to manage a team, including identifying and recruiting talent, managing performance, and making decisions about resource allocation
Strong understanding of Data lifecycle management
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, Master's degree or MBA
Banking/Financial Services, Retail, Insurance Industry experience preferred
Well-versed in managing distributed teams across geographies
Demonstrated experience in actively managing large (50-100) technical delivery teams
Functional and technical knowledge of Data, Analytics and Client data capabilities
