Responsible for the overall planning, administration, coordination, and general management of Wholesale and Capital Management Operations through effective origination, fulfillment, servicing, administration, support and life-of-loan and securities activities. This position requires deep subject matter expertise in banking operations platforms across the commercial community bank, corporate and investment bank, commercial real estate, and capital markets segments. Deliver high quality service for all internal and external clients while managing the operational delivery framework, associated risks, and strategic direction within the supported portfolios for a large, complex banking organization.

Responsible for providing delivery across the line of business (LOB) and client support through streamlined processes, integrated systems, and cost-effective services to enable superior revenue growth. These products are dynamic, highly competitive, digitally evolving and require competency in tech-enabled delivery, automation, risk, and analytics to ensure the supported LOBs remain relevant and best in class. Develop and implement best practices in loan operations related processes and procedures. Proactive leader with the ability to be influential and establish positive working relationships across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Oversee strategic planning, management and execution of processes, programs, and governance to support origination, documentation, funding, booking, administration, and servicing of Wholesale products.

  2. Identify and implement initiatives to increase efficiency, improve client, and teammate service and experience, while reducing cost.

  3. Oversee the strategic planning, selection, implementation, and enhancement of processes, systems, and technology solutions to support assigned operational units.

  4. Develop and implement long and short-term strategic goals for Wholesale Banking Service Delivery.

  5. Develop and maintain effective risk governance and operational risk management systems and processes for Wholesale Banking Service Delivery.

  6. Communicate strategic vision, mission, and values of Wholesale Service Delivery Operations to ensure teammate engagement and effective execution.

  7. Lead and guide the development of Wholesale Banking Service Delivery teammates focusing on increasing knowledge, client service, and career advancement; build and maintain an inclusive, diverse, strong, flexible team through selection and hiring, training, performance appraisals, team building, coaching, promotion, and corrective action, as needed.

  8. Develop and maintain knowledge of existing and emerging industry strategies, operational procedures, business models, systems, and technology.

  9. Participate in relevant line of business and other meetings to stay informed, collaborate and build strong partnerships to achieve the most effective and efficient business results.

  10. Responsible for assigned teammates, including recruitment, retention, career development, performance management, salary administration, promotions, transfers, succession planning, training, coaching and terminations within established policies and guidelines.

  11. Stays abreast of market issues and trends, maintains up-to-date knowledge on all Truist credit and lending policies, procedures and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or related field or equivalent education and related training

  2. Fifteen years of management experience in an Operations oriented function

  3. Demonstrated leadership, innovation, and strategic planning skills across a broad scope of operational areas, as well as a creative approach to process management.

  4. Strong communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal

  5. Demonstrated ability to successfully drive transformational change

  6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

  7. Ability to engage and manage senior stakeholders both inside and outside the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Twenty plus years in business related experience

  2. 20+ years managing a large, enterprise scale operations team

  3. Master’s degree in business administration, finance, or accounting

  4. Graduate of industry banking school(s)

  5. Experience managing onshore/offshore processes

  6. Participation/leadership within industry trade associations or relevant industry groups
