Please review the following job description:

Partner with business leaders in Wealth Management and provide strategic executive guidance regarding incentive plan designs, performance management, and calibration. Responsible for managing the administration and coordination of the performance management and incentive compensation process. Partner with the business leaders to embed the Truist culture related to performance and compensation within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end incentive compensation process in partnership with the business leaders, including: design, calculation, coordination of approvals, communications, administration of the process, and working with Finance and leaders to ensure accuracy of accruals and incentive payments.

  • Design and implement end to end incentive performance management strategy and process including calibration in partnership with Human Resources and business leaders

  • Design incentive plan governance process in partnership with risk partners and data office partners to ensure execution of the programs adhere to prudent risk management principles.

  • Partner with Finance and HR Business Partners to organize and support performance calibration sessions and consult the business to help ensure that Truist remains at the forefronton compensation practices. Partner with HR and Technology partners to design and implement 360 feedback tools.

  • Ensure the company’s compensation practices, performance practices, and principles are applied thoughtfully throughout the businesses supported

  • Direct analysts or associates on the team in performing independent modeling and analysis of internal and external benchmarking data to support the business’ rationale for compensation decisions, conduct data analysis including trend analysis and support market analysis

  • Actively lead and/or participate in Wholesale-wide and firm-wide projects involving compensation and performance calibration, including but not limited to policy reviews, changes in compensation practices, systems development, and preparation of executive level proposals/presentations

  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing incentive plans and performance process and work with HR, leadership, risk and legal on any proposed changes which are consistent with compensation trends, in compliance with regulations, and in line with the company’s performance and compensation philosophy.

  • Create and develop change management tools in support of the performance management and calibration processes and lead the development of performance management communications through various channels to ensure all stakeholders are informed of process and expectations

  • Influence performance management strategy by actively engaging with research partners and benchmarking with other financial and non-financial institutions to stay abreast of best and emerging practices

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in line of business, incentive plan management/talent analytics, performance management, or consulting

  • Advanced skills in analysis, synthesis, interpretation of complex data, and preparation of executive level presentations

  • Ability to communicate vision and intent

  • Strong conceptual thinking and analytical ability with a highly consultative and collaborative approach in a large financial services organization or consulting firm

  • Ability to manage complex projects and programs autonomously while maintaining strict confidentiality

  • Superior Excel and Power Point skills

  • Superior written and oral communication skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail

  • Advanced knowledge of financial industry, market, and products

  • Excellent interpersonal style, good listening skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely

  • Strong partnering, leadership, and interpersonal skills; executive presence

  • Success working in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment

  • Innovation in problem solving and data-driven insights generation

  • Experience with formulaic incentive plan design

  • Experience supporting Wholesale lines of business and specifically Wealth Management with knowledge of Wealth products and services.
