Teammate reports to the Enterprise Data Office Architecture group, supporting the build of Enterprise Client and data Privacy Architecture supporting all Lines of business. Leads in the development of Client and data privacy architecture standards, enforcement and compliance. Applies advanced knowledge of the business and IT architecture principles to identify and evaluate alternatives solutions. Leads the selection of methodologies, tools, and components of total IT solutions. Provides guidance and support for SA's to implement complex architectural strategy and direction of multiple and diverse application / data/network disciplines on a variety of multi-platform systems. Develops business-system architecture plans and reviews cost and feasibility of system requests while ensuring the plan supports the strategic needs of the company. Interprets internal/ external business challenges and recommends best practices. Uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. Mentors less experienced teammates to build technical expertise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Help build Enterprise Client and Privacy Architecture
IT Landscape design in the context of business capabilities of the organization supporting enterprise objective, cost and risk reduction
Lead cross cutting enterprise solution design that span across multiple CIOs and domains
Set strategic direction for the assigned major business division in alignment with the Business Strategy and Technology standards and provide thought leadership in the development of an enterprise strategic IT plan.
Actively maintain and build a culture of learning, respect, transparency, and trust
Facilitate technical discussions across teams and organizations
Manage and identify organizational-wide risk relating client and data privacy
Maintain a high level of awareness and understanding of existing and emerging technologies, as well as industry and bank issues, to effectively match them.
End to end accountability to review and approve Client and Data Privacy design solutions that best meet the business needs of the enterprise, with a primary focus on innovation.
Lead or "jump start" initiatives deemed critical to IT Services and Truist's success
Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and process for assessment and improvements.
Provide thought leadership in new technology innovation, POV’s, incubation, introduction and implementation critical to Truist's technology and business strategy roadmaps and ongoing success
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent education and related training
Ten years of architecture/design/delivery experience including enterprise, portfolio, and solution architecture experience in technology and data management, ideally with five years or more in the banking/financial services business domain
3 years of experience in Privacy related Architecture design
Comprehensive experience with various architectural domains including application, data, processes, and integration
Comprehensive experience implementing various Cloud provider solutions such as AWS Macie and wide knowledge of AWS Security, Identity, & Compliance Services, Azure Information Protection Services, Azure Policy
Hands-on working knowledge of Cloud-based data management and big data options including: Snowflake, AWS and ideally RedShift, Azure and ideally Azure DataLake, GCP and Google Lending Docs, Cloudera/Hadoop helpful
Knowledge of alternative database platforms such as MongoDB, Neo4J, and Cassandra/ScyllaDB helpful
Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
Significant knowledge of current and emerging architecture principles, methodologies and tools and focus on how solutions can positively impact our teammates and customers
Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking with ability to differentiate feasible from academic solutions
Demonstrated thought-leadership skills with the ability to translate high-level business planning information into application needs/solutions
Sense of humility, quick learner, and willingness to act as a servant leader
Well versed working in both Agile and Waterfall based programs/projects.
