Please review the following job description:

Supplier Adherence Advisors work with Business Unit partners engaged with suppliers to ensure adherence to the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework, as well as the Sourcing and Purchasing requirements. This encompasses the full supplier lifecycle, from onboarding to monitoring to termination. Serves as a liaison to the Business Unit, providing guidance and meaningful input and challenge to ensure risk data is captured, risk mitigation strategies and controls are developed, and appropriate reporting mechanisms are in place. This career-level position requires greater independence and involves higher level complexity of portfolios/ categories/ project assignments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not

  1. Read, understand, and follow defined procedures. Provide enhancements where needed.

  2. Assesses the initial or change-in-scope risk exposure with the Business Units, Category Managers and Risk Domain Advisors. Ensuring necessary assessments are tracked to completion and risk awareness/acceptance/escalation steps are taken.

  3. Monitors services for timely, quality execution of deliverables; evaluating adherence to TPRM program requirements.

  4. Monitors and escalates TPRM-related findings/issues.

  5. Supports larger, more complex portfolios/categories.

  6. Advises and educates Service Managers and Business Partners to increase risk awareness and enforce adherence to TPRM Framework requirements.

  7. Takes a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems. Exercises judgment and critical thinking based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

  8. Maintains timely and thorough evidence of communication/execution of monitoring/advisory tasks.

  9. Provides guidance and advisement as well as effective challenge, where needed, to Service Managers and Business Unit Owners, and Business Unit Partners as related to TPRM program adherence and execution.

  10. Acts as a resource for teammates with less experience.

  11. Explains and interprets complex, difficult, or sensitive information.

  12. Works independently and receives minimal guidance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree

  2. A minimum of 7 years of experience including audit, operations, process engineering or risk management. Strong knowledge of SOX and other industry-related regulatory requirements, and operational risk concepts.

  3. Solid understanding of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the professional discipline (i.e., risk management, vendor management, etc.)

  4. Ability to manage multiple deliverables and competing priorities.

  5. Ability to lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives.

  6. Ability to solve problems in complex situations by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents.

  7. Ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective and handle interpersonal issues with tact and diplomacy.

  8. Ability to adapt to change. Remain agile and flexible in interim and longer-time circumstances.

  9. Ability to effectively communicate, written and verbal, to business partners and teammates.

  10. Moderate level of expertise with Microsoft Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience specific to Third Party Risk

  2. Risk experience within a large financial institution

  3. Experience with Archer and/or Ariba applications

  4. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
