The Compliance Manager – Third Party Compliance Oversight is responsible for managing oversight, monitoring and reporting of third-party risk within the Compliance Risk Management (CRM) organization. This leader will be a key contributor in the design, implementation and ongoing management of the Third-Party Compliance governance program within the Compliance Program Office (CPO) with responsibility for enhancing and overseeing CRM’s program and processes for proactively managing compliance risk in the third-party space. This individual will provide oversight and coordination for key CRM Third Party initiatives, to include vendor support and oversight, tracking, reporting and escalation and this role will interface with Senior Leaders and partners across Business units, Compliance, other Risk programs, Audit and the regulators.

  • Oversee and manage Third-Party Compliance workflow including oversight of inventory of third parties presenting compliance risk, monitoring and assessments for third party alignment to internal and regulatory expectations, and appropriate escalations and issue identification.

  • Responsible for monitoring and oversight of Third-Party Compliance Monitoring Indicators to ensure adherence with CRM and regulatory expectations.

  • Provide support and oversight of Third-Party Control Assessments including consulting with 1st LOD and 2nd LOD Risk Partners on assessment outcomes, deficiency identification and remediation monitoring and validation.

  • Ensure Third-Party Risk Management Program is continually evaluated and aligned with Compliance Risk Management Program standards and regulatory expectations.

  • Oversee and coordinate key CRM initiatives, to include tracking, reporting and escalation.

  • Oversee vendors related to CPO activities and execute third party risk management activities as applicable.

  • Serve as key leader and strategic advisor for key CRM innovation initiatives

  • Execute compliance third party risk management activities related to CRM as assigned by manager.

  • Serve as representative for CRM and CPO on various committees and working groups as assigned

  • Develop and execute monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reporting related to Third Party Risk programs


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’ Degree

  • 8+ years of experience in risk management in financial services

  • Familiarity with financial services related laws, rules, regulations, and risk management standards

  • Expertise in regulatory expectations for large bank third party risk management

  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills

  • Demonstrated experience interacting and influencing senior leaders and executives regarding risk, governance or similar complex issues

  • Ability to communicate complex topics in an effective way to teammates and all levels of the organization

  • Significant experience leading enterprise-wide initiatives to implement complex risk or compliance program requirements

  • Experience in Process, Risk and Control (PRC) design

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to think critically and strategically, multitask and manage change

  • Demonstrated experience in change management with successful stakeholder adoption of process and oversight changes and advancements

  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills

  • Demonstrated experience working with regulators and auditors

  • Ability to provide effective challenge to senior management

  • Demonstrated commitment to collaboration, partnering and the highest ethical standards

  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft office (including advanced Excel) and experience with data sourcing and validation

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience utilizing enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance (eGRC) platforms and tools (e.g., RSA Archer).

  • 5+ years of experience in third-party risk management, governance and oversight
