Please review the following job description:

Provide leadership, direction, and management for the execution of Truist’s external executive development strategies. Responsible for the strategy, design, development, communications, and implementation of a variety of executive development programs and experiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop an over-arching strategy for external leadership and executive development programs. Ensures alignment with Truist Leadership Institute and Truist Learning programs, offerings, philosophies, and strategies.

  2. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to source and customize program experiences that reflect the needs of the business and leaders at each level.

  3. Partner with external vendors to align business critical programs that will ensure the development of a strong and diverse pipeline of leaders. Research best practices in the executive development space.

  4. Work closely with the Truist Talent team to ensure tight alignment with and maximum support of high-potential, succession planning, and executive development processes.

  5. Ensures collaboration with key functional partners in the implementation of initiatives.

  6. Manage the relationships and accountability for all key vendor partnerships to include setting direction, project management, and ensuring quality of work. Manage vendor relationships by communicating clear metrics and expected outcomes for programs and offerings.

  7. Effectively manage compliance and risk of programs. This includes but is not limited to, reputation risks associated with outside partners and programs, protecting Truist Leadership Institute’s intellectual property, and ensuring outside partners are compliant with Truist Vendor Management standards.

  8. Work closely with the Leadership Institute’s operations team on the execution of programs. Manage overall budget for external development programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  2. Seven years’ experience in leadership development program strategy design or delivery

  3. Experience with higher education executive development programs and developing customized solutions for clients

  4. Demonstrated understanding of the executive development space with an appreciation for the leader experience

  5. Demonstrated leadership in the implementation of complex programs and projects

  6. Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous assignments

  7. A self-starter, possessing strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills

  8. Ability to foster sponsorship and influence outcomes

  9. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Financial Services experience
