The Risk Data and Reporting Sr Analyst II role within Enterprise Issues Management is responsible for assisting in completion and documentation of quality reviews, leading preparation of reporting quality review results and thematic analysis, continuous monitoring routines, and operational tasks associated with monitoring and reporting issue metrics. Role is primarily aligned to support stakeholders, needs, and initiatives within the Risk Management Organization, but can also support other areas of Truist.

* Location: Please note candidate(s) must be located at one of the posted locations. Hybrid work environment (3 days in office). Not a telecommute/remote role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Design, implement, and execute thematic analysis across enterprise issues; providing insight to common themes or drivers of risk identification and root causes of issues across the Company.

  2. Assist in the execution and enhancement of the quality review process and continuous monitoring routines. Investigate and research data fluctuations and/or anomalies in reports, data, systems, etc. Explain results of reports and research to department management and other stakeholders.

  3. Lead reporting effort for aggregation of quality review results and distribution. Evaluate results for thematic observations and explain reporting results to department management and other stakeholders.

  4. Manage, monitor, and report key enterprise issues management metrics to department management.

  5. Serve as a consultative resource to business partners on issues management quality reviews, thematic analysis, and metric reporting.

  6. Analyze monitoring processes for efficiencies, effectiveness, and ability to design monitoring approaches to verify procedural compliance.

  7. Perform issue validation testing for Enterprise Issues Management identified issues, ensuring root cause has been properly remediated.

  8. Mentor less experienced teammates to build their own technical expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  2. 7+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  3. Deep specialized and/or broad knowledge within a professional discipline. Solid understanding of key business processes and strategies.

  4. Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry.

  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders.

  6. Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.

  7. Ability to lead moderately complex projects. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Graduate degree in related field

  2. 9+ years of related experience

  3. Previous experience in banking, with specific emphasis on data analysis/monitoring, reporting, issues management, risk oversight, audit, or compliance related areas

  4. Relevant professional or technical certifications

  5. Advanced skills in data analysis or monitoring, quality review or control testing functions, and audit or risk management experience.
