Please review the following job description:

Direct the work of a team of Flex Benefit Administrators in the daily administration processes of flex spending accounts (125) for various clients as well customer service inquires via phone and email.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. Provide second level customer service to clients on complex issues.

  2. Resolving these issues includes independent thinking, autonomous decision making and discretionary judgment.

  3. Provide quality customer service in a timely manner through effective written and verbal communication skills.

  4. Provide research, call support and guidance to Plan Administrators, whose typical duties include data entry, claims adjudication and processing of checks.

  5. Complete performance reviews, hiring, firing and career Advancement decision for Administrators on the direct reports of Flex Benefits Team members.

  6. Perform monthly quality call audits, coach where necessary to ensure team is meeting all client standards of the perfect client experience.

  7. Adjust participant accounts, new enrollments, prepare monthly processing schedule for clients.

  8. Keep abreast of industry trends, current laws and regulations affecting Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Spending Account (HAS) administration. 9. Lead in departmental training for team members on systems, processes and customer service.

  9. Establish and maintain internal processes and procedures under the supervision of the Flexible Benefits Operations Manager.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  1. High School Diploma Five years of experience in employee benefits

  2. Two years of experience in a supervisory position

  3. Exceptional customer service

  4. Good verbal and written communication skills

  5. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Office software products

  6. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

Desired Skills:

  1. Associate degree in Business or Accounting

  2. One year of experience in employee benefits (specifically in 125 cafeteria plan)

  3. Minimal knowledge of accounting, familiar with Pub. 502 & 503 IRS regulations
