Deliver technically complex solutions. Perform system integration support for all project work. Consult and partner with the business product owners to understand the end goal and offer solutions and recommendations during the design.

The responsibilities for this Java Software Engineer II will be:

1. Analyze, design, code and test web applications

2. Work with clients, analysts, programmers, and team members to design and code solutions; including development of feasibility studies, project plans, cost/benefits, alternative solutions, and project estimates.

3. Work in agile team environment

4. Develop detailed specifications from which complex systems/subsystems/programs will be written.

5. Instruct, direct, and quality assure the work of other programmers and analysts.

6. Stay abreast of the latest technology architecture and ‘best practices’ in the technology marketplace.

7. Provide application support

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree and four to seven years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience

2. In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices

3. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function

4. Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices

5. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information

Preferred Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology related curriculum or equivalent work experience

2. Prefer 8+ years of Java development experience

3. Experience in enterprise application design and programming

4. Experience in developing internet based applications

5. Proficient in Java and knowledge of other programming languages

6. Experience in Tomcat, Spring Boot

7. Experience in Relational Database

8. Proficient in web and mobile application security

9. Proficient in Spring and Apache based frameworks

10. Experience in Angular, HTML, CSS and JavaScript

11. Experience in SOAP and Rest based Web Services

12. Exposure to Cloud environment

13. Experience Single Sign On, JWT, SAML, Oauth, OIDC

14. Experience ISVA/ISAM, DataPower

15. Ability to work with Line of Business, Architecture and Infrastructure teams

16. Ability to train others
