This role supports the Corporate Functions domains, specifically Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Human Resources. The selected individual will drive adoption of newer frameworks leveraging Snowflake and Talend tools, as well as continuing delivery thru legacy Hadoop based Enterprise Data Lake. This individual will also support regulatory and business critical processes requiring adherence to controls and policies. They will lead business partners adoption of Data Management concepts including data cataloging, lineage, privatization, quality, retention and purge, data security and controls, master and reference data design. They will also be responsible for building, optimizing and maintaining the data pipelines and aiding in building the data ecosystem for delivering enterprise data for wide consumption including developing data models, corresponding data architecture documents and API’s.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Builds, manages, and implements the data and/or Big Data pipeline capabilities including data modeling, process design and overall data pipeline architecture and all phases of the ETL (extract, transform, and load) processes.
Leads efforts related to partially to completely automate repeatable data preparation and integration tasks. Partner with technology teams to understand data capture, testing needs, and to build and test end-to-end solutions.
Partners with engineers, data scientists, and the data office leadership to define and refine data architecture and technology choices.
Takes a new perspective on existing solutions to solve problems of the highest complexity and exercise judgment based on the analysis (e.g. modeling, testing, etc.) of multiple sources of information and make recommendations.
Leads larger, more complex data engineering projects and initiatives with significant risks and resource requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and equivalent combination of advanced education and experience, which could include any combination of 8 years of experience in IT software engineering, 5 years’ relevant business experience (i.e. making technical-related decisions on the business side), 5 years’ experience in project management, and at least 2 years of management experience
Broad and in-depth knowledge of technology trends, competitive environment, regulatory requirements and trends, and IT strategies employed to continually meet the demands of clients and regulators
Ability to translate enterprise level strategic planning information into software and data management needs, create business plans, and turn them into effective business solutions
Executive level communications skills, including, strong negotiation/facilitation/presentation skills and experience negotiating with vendors for relevant products and services
Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure, particularly with enterprise-wide implications
Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of complex business objectives and priorities
Ability to lead and manage the performance of multiple teams against a set of financial and operational objectives
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 8 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Banking or financial services experience
Experience with on premise ETL tools like AbInitio and Informatica.
Expertise in cloud-based Snowflake solutions designing data ingestion, enrichment and presentation.
Experience with the following tools helpful: Python, Ataccama, Talend, Alation, Manta.
