Reporting to the Product Director, the Brokerage and Retirement Products Senior Product Manager is responsible for providing financial product support to the Truist Wealth Financial Advisors and assisting the Product Director with product strategy and execution.

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Manage and develop teammates, as assigned.

  • Work closely with the Product Director on the design and implementation of the sales and marketing strategy.

  • Perform business analyses studies in support of recommending strategy and product enhancements.

  • Develop and deliver periodic and ad hoc sales, revenue and activity reporting to the Product Director and other internal and external partners.

  • Introduce new products to the platform by collaborating with the appropriate internal teammates and external partners.

  • Work closely with the Product Director on the design and implementation of internal policies and procedures.

  • Develop training and educational content for use with Financial Advisors. Remain current with internal firm investment advice and guidance, industry trends, market events and available product sets.

  • Manage risk by aligning activities with the firm’s risk appetite.

  • Maintain working knowledge of Firm and product-specific policies and procedures. Perform work in a manner consistent with the Truist purpose, mission, and values.

  • Deliver sales strategy ideas, ERISA plan consulting, plan design consulting, vendor education, questions and selection, client calls via conference call/Web or in person.

  • Grow AUM and revenue by increasing the distribution of retirement plan products. This will include developing and executing marketing strategies to increase market penetration among the Financial Advisors and Client Associates.

  • Review and opine on client Investment Policy Statements and make recommendations for changes.

  • Ensure Financial Advisors are properly credentialed and trained, retirement plans are properly established on our platforms, Investment Policy Agreements are adhered to, and proper investment advisory agreements and approvals are received at the branches.

  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and develop strategies and processes to ensure compliance and minimize risk to the firm.

  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert for ERISA related issues.

  • Consult with clients and their CPA’s, Third Party Administrators, Attorneys, and Record Keeping vendors concerning plan design/document and operational issues as needed.

  • Assist financial advisor in the completion or creation of Request for Proposals for clients and prospects.

  • Participate in and represent firm at industry conferences, user conferences and trade shows.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent education, training or work experience

  • Minimum 10 years of investments/wealth management experience

  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience with assigned product areaFINRA

  • Registrations Series 7 and 66 or equivalent

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as the Microsoft Office suite

  • Life, Variable Products, and Long-Term Care licenses, if applicable to assigned product area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or designation, such as CFA or CFP FINRA

  • Registration Series 24

  • Experience using the NFS Wealthscape and Envestnet systems
