The Sr. Channel Manager, Digital Marketing is responsible for managing the strategy and implementing the execution of LightStream Digital Marketing programs to drive new customer acquisition through SEM, SEO, and other digital marketing channels. This position is a senior-level role that bridges the management of day-to-day execution with strategy development and iteration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

Own Paid and Organic Search Programs end-to-end, inclusive of strategic planning, budgeting, design, execution, and reporting:

  1. Develop actionable strategies to increase the effectiveness of SEM and SEO performance against marketing goals and continue scaling the program for established products

  2. Lead development and launch of additional SEM and SEO activities to support new products, as they become available

  3. Build and execute a data-driven testing roadmap for continuous experimentation and optimization; run A/B tests to maximize relevance and conversion

  4. Identify new keywords to continually grow portfolio and optimize bids/spend across keywords and campaigns

  5. Maintain and monitor keyword lists, bids, budget caps, impression shares, quality scores and other important account metrics

  6. Work closely with UX/UI Team to optimize SEM landing pages to promote conversion and improve the flow of SEM leads through the application and activation funnel

  7. Analyze campaign performance against targets and own regular communication to the Marketing Team and Leadership Team, as needed, bringing clear analysis and insights and highlighting opportunities and trends for continued growth

  8. Monitor trends, best practices, and techniques to ensure correct account spend/growth and to identify new opportunities

  9. Own budget and develop annual forecasts; be accountable for meeting performance targets

Other Digital Channels: champion test-and-learn strategies for additional digital acquisition channels to prove viability and scale, as appropriate:

  1. Build and present Business Cases for testing/re-testing digital channels such as: Display, Retargeting, Paid Social, Digital Video, etc.

  2. Recommend priority of channel testing, budget, timing, and KPIs/goals; gain executive buy-in

  3. Research and define execution strategy – internal/self-service or external agency

  4. Own end-to-end contracting process for any new tools or agencies, working closely with Sourcing and Legal to execute

  5. Deploy new test(s), monitor, analyze, and report findings to Marketing Team and Leadership Team, as needed; recommend next steps

  6. Act as SME for all digital acquisition marketing channels

Required Qualifications:

The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various aspects of digital marketing.

  1. 8+ years of experience managing digital marketing programs, with strong knowledge of Google Ads, Bing, Social Media advertising, retargeting, programmatic advertising, and Adobe Analytics (or similar)

  2. 8+ years of experience in a data-driven, performance marketing environment

  3. Proven understanding of current Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) standards and best practices

  4. Proven understanding of Adobe Analytics (or similar web analytics) data interpretation and analysis

  5. Experience managing campaigns hands-on as well as recommending and managing agency partners

  6. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, utilize resources and meet deadlines

  7. Critical decision-making regarding complex marketing efforts based on solid analytical thinking

  8. Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving and project-management skills

  9. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field, education or experience

  10. Experience in financial services

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working in an agile environment

  2. Experience in consumer lending/deposits
