Please review the following job description:

Define, plan, and direct multiple simultaneous Card and Direct to Consumer Lending projects that cross departmental and divisional lines. Lead complex projects that have a medium to high corporate priority, have a significant budget, and are high risk. Provide efficient, effective management of projects and administration of project planning methodology including the proposal, approval, tracking, and implementation of projects and other initiatives for the Card and Direct to Consumer Lending department. Work independently, requiring little supervision.

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. Project Management Execution - Manage and deliver strategic projects, capability enhancements, or process optimizations that support best-in-class product experiences for clients and teammates. Provide consistent, reliable, and effective project management by ensuring all major and minor projects are completed on time, in scope, and within budget. Provide subject matter expertise on project management, project scope definition, risk identification/mitigation, use of project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and knowledge transfer. Support both the waterfall and agile project methodologies. Coordinate and manage resources, budgets, and deadlines among technology, Truist lines of business, and third party service providers.

  2. Documentation- Effectively manage the details of multiple projects concurrently. Manage the assignment and tracking of project management resources; create and maintain auditable project documentation.

Complete project deliverables, including: project charter, risk matrix, communication and data management plans, project plan, implementation plan, and other project documentation.

  1. Business Process Management - Research, suggest, and implement more efficient process to improve quality, enhance client satisfaction, and reduce costs. Document gaps/issues and potential solutions.

  2. Communication & Reporting - Design and deliver presentations to stakeholders and executive-level management for updates targeting the development of project objectives, negotiations, risk identification, change control, timeline, and resources. Facilitate communication to resolve problems and advance strategies. Prepare charts, tables, and diagrams to document workflow and informational processes. Ensure "go-to-green" plans are created for projects at risk of not meeting timelines.

  3. Collaborative Relationships - Establish and maintain effective working relationships with product leaders and key business and technology partners. Lead cross-functional teams to drive organizational objectives and negotiate positive outcomes. Manage vendor relationships including conducting planning sessions with vendors and service providers and defining project performance expectations.

  4. Risk Mitigation - Coordinate with risk and compliance partners to effectively manage operational and regulatory risk across the ecosystems of Card & Direct to Consumer Lending products. Ensure adherence to Legal and Compliance requirements and processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.

  2. Five years of project experience, including a major role in at least three major projects.

  3. Ability to lead, strategize, establish direction, and motivate.

  4. Conceptual ability to analyze problems and devise solutions.

  5. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  6. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Project Management Institute's Project Management Professional certification - PMP?

  2. Experience in any of these areas: Credit Card Processing, Payments, Deposit Systems
