Please review the following job description:

Procurement and provisioning of voice and data telecommunication services from multiple, strategic partners. Order placement and management of all aspects of the service delivery cycle. Provide telecommunication ordering support for IT teams and Telecom Service Processing team (TSP team). Perform target telecommunication audits for cost avoidance. Manage the vendor relationship through feedback, collaboration, and process improvements to enhance the overall delivery of services. Create accurate telecommunication inventory for TEMs application.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage day-to-day telecommunication order activity through ServiceNow application. This includes processing complex and non-complex voice, data and mobility orders

  2. Manage small to enterprise size telecommunication projects to meet project milestones and timelines

  3. Prepare and present order and project information to management and peers

  4. Work collaboratively with TSP teammates, peer teams and partners, with a high level of teamwork. Promote the ‘One Team’ spirit

  5. Provide technical assistance and guidance to other IT associates for procurement and decommissioning of telecommunication services

  6. Perform special telecommunication audits, as assigned, of workflows and voice and data projects to ensure unused services are disconnected

  7. Administer vendor portal access to authorized requestors. Conduct vendor portal audits to ensure users are valid and have the appropriate, approved access

  8. Utilize SharePoint and other tools to track and provide status during the procurement process for telecommunication services

  9. Provide aid to maintenance organization for incidents that need information or assistance with resolution

  10. Create timely and accurate telecommunication inventory for Telecom Expense Management (TEM) application

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, telecommunications or related field, or equivalent education and related training

  2. Five years of experience as a telecommunications technician for voice and data services

  3. Demonstrated knowledge of business management practices to include vendor relationships, contract management and billing

methodologies

  1. Demonstrated application of regulations and standards applicable to the telecommunications industry

  2. Resourcefulness in multi-tasking, developing creative needs and researching or synthesizing information for problem resolution

  3. Capacity to comprehend complex technical concepts through training and self-study

  4. Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  6. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products

  7. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

Preferred Requirements:

  1. In-depth understanding of VoIP, Voice, and Mobility services

  2. Strong attention to detail, accuracy of information and organization skills

  3. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  4. Intermediate knowledge of Excel and SharePoint
