The Credit Risk Review group in the Risk Management Organization has an immediate need for a Credit Risk Review Officer Risk Data Analyst. This role will serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert to create and deliver complex and comprehensive risk reporting, data, business intelligence, and related services for Credit Risk Review. Role will be primarily aligned to support stakeholders, needs, and initiatives within the CRR Governance and Practices but may also support other areas of Truist. In addition, the position will include design and implementation of innovative and transformative strategies to provide assurance and continuous improvement for credit risk at Truist.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Highly motivated with a sense of urgency and exactness. Inquisitive, decisive, and able to find innovative solutions to potential challenges

  2. Evaluate and challenge existing processes, including some that may need considerable improvement, and be quick to implement enhancements.

  3. Design, implement, and execute highly complex recurring or ad hoc reports, analyses, data, system-related, or operational tasks in accordance with CRR risk assessment, coverage and other processes and controls.

  4. Investigate and research unexplained variations in reports, data, systems, etc. Explain results of reports and research to department management and other stakeholders.

  5. Develop and administer controls to ensure the integrity of departmental process. Evaluate and recommend improvements to departmental processes.

  6. Assist with development of departmental documentation, particularly for highly complex and technical activities.

  7. Serve as a consultative resource and subject matter expert on risk reporting, data, system, or related issues. Engage with stakeholders to identify business objectives and scope solution requirements.

  8. Plan and manage complex projects, such as development of new or modified reporting in response to process, system, regulatory, or organizational changes.

  9. Mentor less experienced teammates to build their own technical expertise.
