Please review the following job description:
Build, optimize, and maintain the data pipelines and aide in building the data ecosystem for delivering enterprise data for wide consumption including developing data models, corresponding data architecture documents and API’s.
Build, manage, and implement the data and/or Big Data pipeline capabilities including data modeling, process design and overall data pipeline architecture, Dashboard/Report Development and all phases of the ETL (extract, transform, and load) processes.
Drive efforts related to partially to completely automate repeatable data preparation, integration tasks.
Partner with technology teams to understand data capture, testing needs, and to build and test end-to-end solutions.
Analyze information to determine business needs from requests and implement effective technical solutions by providing problem analysis and resolution in a timely manner and explain and interpret complex, difficult, or sensitive information.
Solve problems of moderate to high complexity and exercise judgment based on the analysis (e.g. modeling, testing, etc.) of multiple sources of information.
Lead small data engineering projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives.
Requirements
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related technical field plus 5 years of progressive experience in software engineering or development positions.
In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or related technical field plus 3 years of experience in software engineering or development positions.
Must have 2 years performing/utilizing the following:
Applying data warehousing and transactional application data concepts and technology
Performing data engineering and managing large data volumes
Applying understanding of data analytics life cycle methodologies including data cleansing and preparation methodologies
Planning and managing IT projects
Utilizing experience with: SQL; Relational databases; ETL/ELT architecture and concepts; Data integration concepts; Dashboard/report tools; Big data concepts; COBOL; CICS; DB2; JCL; VSM; Mainframe systems; Changeman; FileManager; Iterative; NDM; FTP; IBM WebSphere MQ; Easytrieve; DFSORT; ICETOOL; ALM; Endevor; SSAS; SSIS; Shell Scripting; Fault Analyzer; Merchant Apps; ACI treasury manager; ACH knowledge; Wire knowledge; SMS/Trecs; and Finance applications.
Position may be eligible to work remotely but is based out of and reports to Truist offices in Winston-Salem, NC. Must be available to travel to Winston-Salem, NC regularly for meetings and reviews with manager and project teams within 24-hours’ notice
