As a part of the Human Capital Strategy & Insights (HCSI) COE, this role will focus on the coordinated production of strategic materials and presentations for Truist’s Executive Leadership, Board & Committee meetings and Regulatory purposes. The HC Insights Consultant will drive strategic, thoughtful and coordinated responses across HR & Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) building a consistent storyline, collecting and analyzing relevant data and preparing talking points for Executive Leaders. Additionally, the role will require strong partnership across all HR centers of excellence (e.g., Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, DEI, Total Rewards etc…) as well as with Senior HR Business Partners aligned to our Lines of Businesses and Functions in order to drive synergies in our human capital storytelling across the bank.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads or coordinates material planning activities forBoard/Committee/Regulatorypresentations to devise a feasible plan that achieves the goals and objectives of the meetings and is aligned with the business strategy.

  • Defines problems and scope parameters, organizes teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops schedules and milestones, identifies structures of authority and processes for decision making.

  • Understands and articulates the expectations for the deliverable/s and ensures shared understanding within the team.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with all stakeholders and manages resources.

  • Troubleshoots and manages activities to ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards. Performs risk management to minimize risks.

  • Identifies/resolves obstacles to completing materials in a timely manner. Recommends schedule changes or resource additions when necessary.

  • Uses appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and cost.

  • Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation.

  • Identifies and resolves difficult complex issues, reports and escalates to management as needed.

  • Serves as an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional or technical discipline or specialty, but may manage two or fewer employees.

  • Potentially directs the work, coaches or reviews the work of lower level professionals.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • 5-7 years progressive related experience in either a consulting, project management or process improvement related role.

  • Expert-level understanding of project management framework and methodologies.

  • Highly developed skills and experience in developing and implementing processes, standards and operational plans that will have an impact on the achievement of functional results.

  • Proven leadership in the implementation of complex projects, issue resolution, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

  • The ability to communicate with and influence others, conduct difficult negotiations and manage to stringent timelines for project deliverables.

  • Expert-level cost and risk management skills.

  • Demonstrated advanced understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, needs and policies.

  • Proven ability to make decisions under pressure and bring clarity to ambiguous assignments.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, delegate and problem-solve.

  • Advanced working knowledge of business matters, finance, planning, and forecasting.

  • Expert usage and advanced skills using Power Point.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing large/complex initiatives across a matrix organization In-depth knowledge of management and planning systems theory and practical application to complex initiatives

  • Experience with human capital and/or financial measurements and metrics.

  • Financial Services Industry or related experience a plus.
